- 500 g minced beef
- 500 ml tomato puree
- ~100 g tomato concentrate
- 1 small onion
- 2 garlic cloves
- mozzarella / parmesan for garnish (opt)
- peel and dice onion
- peel and mince garlic
Add onion to an oiled medium heat high-side pan and fry until glazed.
Changed the heat to high and add beef, then fry until no raw beef can be seen + ~1 minute.
Add minced garlic, mix into the pan then pour tomato puree and concentrate in, mix and changed the heat to medium.
Add 2 sprinkles of salt, 1 of pepper, 1 of basil and 2 of oregano.
Heat to medium low, then slow cook covered for 30-40 minutes while mixing periodically.
Serve on pasta, optionally garnish with finely grated cheese.
